Do you have a small stone that you would like to have really stand out and make a BIG impact??? Try this style! In the Traditional style, we still have a base to place the stone on but everything changes from there! using 4 wires we will make a double rabbit ear bail and move the rest of the wires in a graceful arc down to the bottom of the stone and tie it all together. The addition of beads or crystals will create a lot of pizzazz in this piece!
I don't usually leave that much space open under the stone but I wanted to show the bottom foundation off a bit! We start at the foundation, and adding just a bit more length to the wires, we are able to gather all the wires at the top and add whatever we like to accent with and a double rabbit ear bail for the chain. Then we can gracefully arc our wires down under the stone and end them in cinnamon rolls! This is the perfect style for small stones that you would like to have a larger impact and more protection for!
You are welcome to bring your own coordinating beads and bling to customize your project to fit your style!
This style is suitable for beginner and intermediate wire wrappers. We start with a simple formula that works for every stone regardless of the shape or size, and work our way to the top where we create double rabbit ear loops for the chain to fit, and then on to the many variations to decorate the top.
Each student gets to decide on what they would like to do with the top wires. There are suggestions but this is completely up to what you want to do! To add beads or not, to add a dangle or not, is completely your choice!
