There are just some days when things go totally wrong and you think there is no possible way out! One of the most frustrating is when you cut the wrong wire. If you cut or break a wire that you are using for decoration, it is not that critical. BUT if you cut a wire that should be on the front or the back of the stone and is used for support, that is a different problem!
Imagine you are working along and trimming off a piece of wire for decoration and you realize !!!!!! the front or back wire is now waving in the wind! I hate to waste wire so this is my solution.
First look at the ends of the wires to determine the length of the two pieces. Usually one is longer than the other. I scroll both wires into a tight curl like a cinnamon roll and place them as decorations on the front for the front wires or on the back for the back wires. Spread the middle wire over so you have one wire holding the back of the stone and one holding the front with no middle wire. Should you cut the middle wire that circles the outside of the stone, swap either the front wire or the back wire to slide over to hold the stone and curl up the cut wires as decoratively as you can on the front or the back. It isn't perfect but chances are no one will know but you!!!! Happy wrapping! Char
